Winter Warmer Workshop — 1/31/16
January 26, 2016
I hope this message finds you well and that you’re navigating the erratic start of this winter season like a pro. As I said in my last message, I need all the help I can get when it comes to surviving winter without turning into a cold, dry, mopey mess. That’s why Ayurveda is so appealing to me, and why I decided to offer this workshop on Sunday. Ayurveda is a science of life, and one that has been around for thousands of years. It is truly a holistic health system because it understands that the mind and body are inextricably connected, and that in order to be healthy and realize our life’s full potential, we must take the mind into account.
In particular, I love Ayurveda’s suggestions for maintaining balance and health amidst the wild changes occurring constantly in our environment, thought patterns, and feelings. I have personally felt a huge positive shift in my stress and anxiety levels, mental and physical energy, and overall enjoyment of life since I began studying my own thoughts and implementing mindful awareness into my everyday experience of being a human. I find that each small step I take on this path of self-study and each new kernel of knowledge or perspective I encounter shifts me away from a “just getting by” mindset and a little closer to thriving and having fun, more of the time! Click below for a concise, thorough explanation of Ayurveda and its origins. If this information lights a spark in you like it does in me, I invite you to join me Sunday evening. No yoga experience is necessary and jammies are encouraged, it’s gonna be cozy. : )
Love and Deep Breaths,
P.S. Each attendee will receive a soothing essential oil blend to take home, and the roster is starting to fill up. If you plan to attend, registering ahead of time will help me to make sure I have enough handouts and essential oils for all!
